Rainbow Early Years
Our Story... Rainbow Early Years operates from a purpose built classroom located in the grounds of Holbrook Primary School in Trowbridge, Wiltshire. Our pre-school provides provides high quality environments for children to learn and develop through the EYFS. Manager Jo Clarke and her team comprising of exceptionally knowledgeable, experienced and empathetic staff are committed to make your child’s time a happy fulfilling experience. We are open from 8.30am until 3.30pm Monday to Friday, term time only and we can accommodate a maximum of 30 children at any one time. We are Ofsted registered to take children between the age of 2-5 years and follow the regulated ratio of adults to children, this being 1 adult to 8 children for 3 to 4 year olds, and 1 adult to 4 for children of the age of 2, this enables us to build close relationships with our children and support their learning and development through our effective key person and support staff system. Our fees are £14.40 per 3 hour session 9-12am and 12-3pm and £2.50 for early start or late finish. These are reviewed annually by the committee.
Most of our staff hold a minimum of a level 3 childcare qualification. Our manager Jo has been awarded a BA (Hons) in Early Years & Childcare and also Early Years Professional status, and is a Level 3 Forest School practitioner. We at REY promote a policy of continual staff development and all regular staff attend workshops and training offered by the Wiltshire Early Years Team and other professional bodies. This training and the constant evaluation of what is provided for the children allows us to identify areas for improvement and allows us to ensure your child is being provided the best care and enrichment possible. REY is supported by the local authority advisor’s. It is able to support children with learning difficulties and/or disabilities and those who are at an early stage of learning English. There is disabled access for adults and children and the pre-school achieved the “Bristol Standard” accreditation award in 2005 and continues to work to maintain and update its accreditation status and has successfully maintained it’s registration every year to date.
